Beach, Bush, River

TODAY TANBAY FINALLY GOT HIS CAST OFF!!!!! It's been 9 weeks.. so it was very exciting.

We got up early and went to the drop in Medicare centre. The nurses pulled (yanked) it off and we all nearly puked at the foot smell. It looked pretty good, though slightly less tanned and very very hairy! The hair is really black now.

They x rayed it and looks pretty good but we still have to go back tomorrow for the radiologist to check it out, Tanbay embarrassed himself by saying he'd broken both his ulna and retina (he meant radius)...

Anyway we celebrated by going to the beach!!!

the water is so blue! hashtag no filter

We climbed over these rocks and saw loads of crabs and shells

This river stops in the sand and then five feet later is the sea

We bush walked up the hill, worrying about every tiny noise (snakes).

The view was worth it though

A helicopter had been hanging around the top of the mountain, and when we turned a corner there were rescue paramedic guys and a hiker who'd lost his leg! But when we got closer we saw it was just a dummy..

We then did another walk to find the beginning of the river

It was beautiful but I nearly died because the mozzies surrounded me. Even Tanbay got bitten (once) and that never happens.

It was a big walk in the sun, but another great day.

We had a great vegetable soup for din dins and this delicious dessert

We watched Wolf's Creek in the evening which is an Australian horror film. It's definitely one of the worst ones I've seen I really didn't like it. But I actually really enjoyed the beginning bit where these three travellers buy a car and plan to drive from West to East. I would love to do that, plus they see this amazing real crater that was created by a meteorite.
