Brisbane!!

Today we went to Brisbane for the first time, we walked for 20 minutes to the bus stop, took the bus into town and caught the train to Brisbane.

When we were on the bus we were a bit creeped out by all the gun warning signs:

There was another one about how it's illegal to keep any gun  that you find.

Anyway then a guy got on the bus and said hello to us and came and sat in front of us. He was really funny, he asked us if we liked Selena Gomez and then got the song out on his phone and started singing to us. It was hilarious.

But we got to Brisbane without being shot at and it was soo sunny!

First stop was Wickham Terrace :)

Next we went to Anzac square:

Then we went to the main high street. It was a lot better than Adelaide's high street, it had more shops. The best thing was that is was cleverly designed so even though it was around 35 degrees, it was cool enough to walk between the shops. It was some kind of outdoor air con.

They also had a couple of these in between the shops:

There were some great 'art' pieces:

We saw another crane:

Tanbay climbed to the top of the art and jumped off:

We then crossed this bridge over the water and road

It came out next to the art gallery which we didn't go into
Here's two nice pics of Brisbane:

There was a jazz band playing outside, they were magnificent

We walked up the wheel of Brisbane and decided to go on it

We saw a cute little lizard when we were at the bottom:

The pods were small but fancy, and a great size for just the two of us.

Then I remembered I'm afraid of heights:

Which Tanbay thought was funny

I held on very tight and was not amused

but I got over it when we'd been round a couple of times and hadn't fallen out/off

Then Tanbay wobbled the thing:

a few times

but I got over that too. I'm living life on the edge

if you're not you're taking up too much space ;)

After we survived the wheel of Brisbane a lady asked if we wanted to buy of photo of us on it, which cost more than it cost to go on it. So we didn't get it.

We walked along and found a make shift lagoon. They imported sand and water and created a little beach right next to the river in the centre of Brisbane:

We couldn't believe it was free to go into!

This is the river it's next to:

We saw another lizard, they just love me

There was this hilarious sign on the bridge:

We went to Kings square which has a pretty church in it:

This is Brisbane station:

We both really love Brisbane, it's better than Adelaide, but probably not as good as Melbourne. The weather was loads better than Melbourne, but Melbourne has more to see and do.

We didn't stay too long because it was so hot and we were melting! We had a great day :)
