Today Brian very very kindly took us to the Gold Coast
to meet the lady (Katie) who we’re house sitting for at Christmas. She was
really nice and I think we’ll get on well. We met her cat who was super cute
and saw her really nice house and swimming pool. We’re really excited to go
back there for Christmas!
Then Brian took us to New South Wales so we could go
fishing for the first time! First we went to this beautiful beach:
We swam a little bit, the sea was really rough and I
kept getting pulled under but it was loads of fun.
Then we had this delicious picnic/bbq:
We found a suitable river to fish on and then we
started fishing. It’s a sport neither of us are good at, we didn’t catch
anything. But it was great fun learning how to do it, we both had loads of
bites but they were just swimming off with our bait. At least the fish were fed!

I thought I saw another seal, but Brian said it was
more likely a dolphin! Which is even better really.
We went to another beach and did some more swimming,
it was even rougher and I kept swallowing salt water which wasn’t great. But
the beach was gorgeous, the weather was scorching and it was the best.

On the way home we visited the nicest pie shop in the
world and ate chips and bought a pie for dinner. I LOVE the pies here.
It was another amazing day thanks to the lovely people
we house sat for.
