Back with our best friends

So as you will know as you are clearly an avid reader of my blog, we are back in Queensland and had a bit of bad luck in Riverview, but luckily our best friends Kerry and Brian came to the rescue and so we spent a lovely week with them and our best buds Temperance and Sealy:

They definitely recognised us because there was a lot of tail wagging going on (from the dogs not the humans ;) )

Kerry is really great at rowing and won some awards last time we house sat for them, so there were some awesome new additions to their gym!

As always they made us some really nice meals: bbqs, pies, and they also made some delicious deserts!

To say thank you for taking us in from the streets and fattening us up we got them some Christmas German treats:

We also tried to help out as much as we could and one night Tanbay actually made dinner!

In seven years this is literally the first time he's cooked something that isn't pizza or popcorn chicken. It was very yummy.  (I just read this to Tanbay and he said 'hey I made myself eggs')

We finally started to feel christmassy and watched some amazing Christmas movies. We also went on a really hard power walk with Brian, he wanted us to come along to make him go faster but we definitely slowed him down - it was like 30 degrees!

We also went to Kerrie's niece's birthday pool party which was really fun. We'd been working out a lot and the swimming felt really soothing.

Brian really kindly let us use his phone to call apple every day to check on the MacBook, after a week they finally agreed that we'd bought it within the year and the warranty hadn't expired and then it only took them 24 hours or so to fix it!

We bought Kerry and Brian some alcohol to say thank you for everything that they've done  - they really are the nicest people we've ever met and such an inspiration! Anyway they were really really annoying and produced a Christmas hamper for us! Don't you hate it when people are nice to you?! ;)
