Today we went to the charming town of Lismore to get Tanbay's broken wrist checked. He broke it last week and the Gold Coast hospital recommended that we come back a week later in order to check it. But as we've moved since then it was hard to get back. The nearest hospital to where we are was in Lismore but as there are no buses there.. Luckily Kev and Nikki (who we are house sitting for) have a really great friend called Carly. Carly very kindly drove us to Lismore Hospital:
The hospital was actually really grotty. The Gold Coast one we'd been to before was only a month old! This one was very old, there was lots of equipment just hanging out in the halls and it felt a bit creepy. Kind of like in a epidemic movie where the hospital is abandoned. I don't really believe in ghosts and things like that, but I kept thinking 'omg someone might have died right there' which I don't normally think..
Anyway! Saying that they were extremely quick! We were in and out after a consultation and an x ray in less than an hour! Very efficient. Also very expensive.. But the most important thing is that Tanbay's bone is in the correct position, and as long as he doesn't wack it it should stay there and he should be fine! Phew.
