Two Hour Bush Walk

Today we woke up at 6.30am which we've only done a couple of times since leaving England, in order to catch buses/ flights. However, today we were just going for a bush walk before it got too hot. We walked with Kate (the really great lady that we're staying with).

The walk was probably the most beautiful one I've ever been on (Glen Osmond, Adelaide is a very close second).

We've been hearing lots of cicadas but this was the first time we've seen one:

They sound like crickets and when they get going it really grates on your ears. Kate said that kids like to collect the different types and they have really cute names like the black prince and the green grocer :)

This tree reminded me of Lord of the Rings. Bush fires normally happen naturally (if it's not by a cigarette) and to help prevent or to help stop it when it does happen they actually do controlled burning.

I love this tree because it looks like it's been doodled on!

We were slowly working our way down to the Berowra Waters:

This cave was really spectacular:

Here are some more photos:

I found this nice rock which Tanbay said I wasn't allowed

We made it down to the waters, they were so clear I actually saw a fish

The houses on the other side of the water are accessed by ferry. The ferry takes their cars across where there is a car park for residents and visitors but no roads.

The only thing that isn't perfect is that you can't swim in the river as there are bull sharks.

It was a perfect two hours.
