Barossa

Today Nick took us to the Barossa. The Barossa is a famous wine producing region near Adelaide. We started off at the Lou Miranda Estate, which was decorated similarly to a restaurant (I think it was a restaurant..) they basically give you a small amount of each wine and tell you a bit about them. I don't know anything about wine except you shouldn't base your choice of wine on a 'highest percentage for lowest price' basis (which is what I ALWAYS do). So it was great to actually learn something about wine (and to try them too).

We then went for lunch at fermentAsian, the food was nice, though not as good as the Windy Point food! The best part for me was the desert:

Then we went to a new wine tasting place, this one was the Château Tanunda and we were shocked by how differently it was decorated (more like a winery). Here I learnt that different soils make different wines! WHO KNEW?

The sun really started to get it's hat on at this point which was goood.

Next we went to Rockford Barossa which was decorated like a tavern. It even had a spittoon which was great because small amounts of different wines added together makes a lot of wine and I was already on the level.

Next was St Hallett where they had a parrot in a cage:

We then found a winery in Bethany and Nick said the view was one of the main reasons he moved to Oz, I can see why:

Finally we visited the Wine Room

These are the wines that we got:
